Small and medium-sized businesses play a crucial role in the economic development of the country. In this context National Bank of Argentina (BNA) is distinguished by being the main financial organization that promotes the growth and sustainability of companies of this type. Thus, thanks to its innovative approach and reliable support program, it has become an indispensable strategic partner.
Avobrand is a firm located in Brandsen, province of Buenos Aires, and is involved in the production of food products ranging from balanced food for animal consumption to the production of egg powder and its derivatives. With a high level of demand for food, health and food quality, its vertical integration includes a fully automated and controlled work cycle.
“Basically, we are an agro-industrial company. We mainly industrialize the eggs that we produce in our own warehouses. The whole company is integrated, which ensures that the products are handled without manual touch, and this guarantees a high level of hygiene and efficiency”, explains Octavia Gaspar, CEO of this SME.

One of the most innovative projects of the agri-food company is the development of a biogas plant that turns chicken guano into energy. Partly financed by Art BNAthis innovative project offers a sustainable solution for poultry waste disposal.
“It was born out of the need for the entire sector to properly dispose of this waste. After years of development and research, we have been able to take advantage of this thanks to our own team of scientists,” says Gaspard.
The resulting biogas can provide energy for approximately 12,000 residents, and the company has already contracted supplies CAMMEZA 1.4 MW. In addition, by-products of the process – such as organic fertilizers – will be commercialize, which will bring additional income and make the project economically viable.
In this sense, BNA was fundamental in this initiative: “The bank has always been interested in investment projects that lead companies to improve, increase efficiency and create new jobs. In our case, the bank’s support allowed us to purchase the necessary technology for biogas production,” says Gaspar.

It should be noted that the products of Avobrand They reach different parts of the world with a high level of demand for food, health and food quality, for example European Community, Japan, Asia and several countries Latin America. “BNA has always supported us in financing some of our exports and further international expansion,” says Gaspard.
Now, in order to adapt to modern requirements and increase its competitiveness, the agro-industrial enterprise had to carry out a total reengineering of the plant. “Part of the investment in technology is related to the re-engineering we carried out seven years ago, where we adapted our plant according to the needs of the local and foreign markets. This included the acquisition of new machines and tanks, as well as the re-engineering of commercial and human resources,” explains Gaspard.

In addition to its focus on efficiency and quality, Avobrand stands out for its commitment to the environment. In this regard, the company is in the process of qualifying as a B company, which implies attention to sustainable development and the well-being of society. “Our goal is to continue this path of excellence, increase the production of cage-free eggs and focus on taking care of the planet,” concludes Gaspard.
Thus, providing financial support and strategic support, BNA It is consolidated as an important pillar in the development of innovative and sustainable companies that help strengthen key sectors of the Argentine economy.
